Mironda Lewis is the First Lady of New Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church: the wife of Dr. Phillip A. Lewis, the anointed Senior Pastor of New Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church of Inglewood CA. She is a servant in the kingdom of God and humbly serves in every aspect that is needed. God has blessed Lady Mironda to enter into an enriching journey serving as a co-laborer with “Pastor Phil.” She enjoys assisting her husband in staying organized with the demands of ministry in the 21st century.

Lady Mironda has involved New Mount Pleasant in the First Ladies Health Initiative, which is an organization of 35 pastors’ wives in Los Angeles who have opened the doors of their respective churches to provide free health screenings and medical tests to detect preventable, systemic illnesses, such as hepatitis, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and certain forms of cancer, which have a higher prevalence in African-American and Latino communities.

Through the First Ladies Health Initiative, sponsored by Walgreens, thousands of men, women and children participated in First Ladies Health Day at houses of worship representing all denominations.

Lady Mironda “Loves the sisterhood” of New Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, and helps to lead the Women’s Ministry with a warm hand, an open heart, and an encouraging spirit.

Together, Pastor Phil and Lady Mironda have three children and 9 grandchildren.
