New Mount Pleasant Community Development Corporation (NMPCDC) exists to provide solutions to inequities in youth employment, and job readiness training, housing and education.  NMPCDC partners with small businesses, government entities, non-profits and concerned citizens to develop and implement initiatives and programs that are socially and economically responsive and effective.

It's never too early to start preparing for college. Download the How to Get to Cal State materials, available in 13 languages, to learn the steps between grades 6 and 12. Posters are also available, free of charge. Place an order to have a quantity delivered to your location to distribute in the community.

2022 Southern California Edison Lineworker Scholarship Program

In 2021 Edison International launched its first Edison International Lineworker Scholarship to 40 Black Applicants. This year continues with its scholarship to increase diversity among SCE’s Craft Lineworkers focusing on attracting Black Young Men, and Women.
